Greetings Pathfinder,

I’d like to be the first to welcome you to Elysian. You may not know me, but soon you will. As Captain of the Elysian Trading Company, the only outfit that dared go where others feared to tread, I am prepared to support you and others on your many endeavors while exploring Elysian. Whether you are a Freeholder or a native, the services my company offers are for every person who calls Elysian home.

While here in Elysian, remember that our Freeports are your safe havens. We never turn friend or foe away...as long as you have the coin, of course. Here you can collect your bearings, gear up for your journeys, or hire capable sailors to help you in your endeavors.

Oh, and if you ever feel an increase of heat around Freeports, do not fret! Elysian is filled with wonders that exist nowhere else and my men love a challenge. For this reason, Elysian Trading Company is the only company that offers...wait for it...dragons! Well drakes, as the natives call them. But be warned, their volatile nature makes destruction...inevitable. Nevertheless, coin is coin, and for the right price, I would be willing to share the secrets on their domestication, and that of others.

Last but not least, you see that thing there? Yes, you know, clutched in your hand. The compass! Well we all have them and we can thank the magic of Elysian! Not much is known of these devices, but once you step foot in Elysian, the Mark is soon to appear in your possession. What we do know is that it connects us all, literally. Instantaneous communication is what I call it! Azra said I needed a shorter name,  but you understand, don’t you? You need to speak to your company, your alliances, well magic makes it simple. Isn’t that marvelous?

Azra is telling me I’ve taken up too much of your time. And you know what, she is right! You’re here to explore Elysian, not read my ramblings. There is so much to tell, but I’ll leave you to discover it.

And remember Pathfinder, life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all. The choice is yours.

Pathfinder,

As second in command of the Elysian Trading Company, it would be irresponsible of me to allow you reprieve of our conversation without taking the due diligence to properly prepare you for what is in store. Captain Hawke has a tendency to embellish Elysian while forgetting that dangers and mysteries lurk upon the seas. Do not let this deter your journey through our lands, but i would be remiss if I did not make sure your received the following information:

The Damned are a scourge and blight upon the land and waters of Elysian. Understanding their nature escapes even the most adept, however there is no denying that foul magic is afoot. Many claim they’re the souls of dead sailors and seaman still tethered to this world because their desire for spoils and treasure is unquenchable. Whether you believe the legends or not, be careful and do not be hesitant. Their sails are the last thing many brave men and women see.

Be wary of monsters and creatures of myth in the deep and on land. While I know Captain Hawke wishes to control them, not all that are birthed from magic can be contained. If you can control them, so be it. But heed my words, there are some that make the lands quake, the waters recede, and the sky rain fire. Nevertheless, any information concerning any of these mythical beasts would be invaluable to the company.

Finally, word has gotten around of powerful treasures of immense value. Some call them stone, others gems. I have no quantifiable knowledge to confirm their existence, but if tales are indeed true, I warn you to be discerning of what they could offer. Most things in life come with a price.

Journey well, Pathfinder.
